Neapolitan potatoes gattò

 

Peel, wash and boil the potatoes. Mash the potatoes and add the butter, Parmesan cheese, eggs, a tablespoon of parsley, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Cut the salami or if you prefer bologna cubes: join them to the mixture and mix well.

Butter a pan of 26 cm in diameter, pass the bread crumbs. Pour into the pan a third abundant compound, put the slices of smoked cheese, make another layer with the mixture, cover with slices of mozzarella and close with the remaining potato mixture. Scratch the surface with a fork and sprinkle with breadcrumbs and a few flakes of butter. Bake in oven at 200 degrees until golden brown.
